Last weekend was a lovely one and this one was equally so. We have been having a warmer than usual spring and looking ahead in the calendar, I felt safe to plant the garden yesterday. It is a project which I have been hopefully planning for months already. I began seeds back in March and then some more in April. That was partially successful and so some of those were transplanted to our little raised bed yesterday. Last weekend my friend Susan and her daughter and the boys and I made a day of farm events. First we went to a plant sale at a local farm, then we had some playground time and lunch and finally we went to the sheep shearing at another local farm. It was a lovely Saturday. Perfect really. Kevin was in meetings with the bishop candidates all day and missed out, but I think he found the meetings uplifting and hopeful so that is a good thing.
This weekend we have been mostly homebodies. We just got back from a long walk, down to a local deli for a snack. With a stop to play on the beach and another to play with some neighbors kids. Soon I'll fire up the grill and we'll have chicken and hot dogs for dinner. Yesterday we planted the garden and played in the yard and tried to enjoy each other's company.
Here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks.
