We found a lovely smaller farm in Portsmouth which is where we have gone to get our pumpkins for the past couple of years. This year Kevin's Mom was along as she was visiting. Both boys got very large pumpkins. Oddly, they are easier to carve out sometimes than the smaller ones.
At Robert's school each class makes a scarecrow and they are displayed at a local farm on one of the weekend evenings before Halloween. They have snacks and hayrides and a few games for the kids. We have gotten there early the past couple of years so we could actually see the pumpkins before it got dark. This year Robert's class based it on a book about a square pumpkin. I took a picture of him with the full scarecrow and then one of his pumpkin painting.
