Hanging out

We have discovered that being on the go every day is a bit too much for the boys.  I think that should perhaps have been obvious to us, as this trip is going to last more than a month, but then sometimes we can be a bit ambitious.  While we have been in England we have not had a car, this means we have been doing a great deal of walking.  At the end of the day my feet have been tired and since Robert probably takes 2 steps for my one and Harry also takes a few more steps for our steps, they are probably even more tired.

It has also been lovely and warm while we have been here and it is light so late that the boys have been going to bed later than usual along with getting up earlier than usual.  This means I think they are a bit tired some days.  So we have taken days in between just to be and maybe go into town or to a park.

On Tuesday we did this.  When we told Harry we weren't doing anything he actually cheered.  We did of course need to get out of the house eventually and both Kevin and I needed new books, so we went to the book store.  While we were walking home, it began to rain and so we ducked into a cafe and had tea and the boys had water and sweets.

Here is Robert with his sweet - he chose a chocolate lollipop shaped like a mustache.  It made him a happy boy.

Most of the day though, both boys were happily ensconced reading Nintendo magazines, playing in their make believe worlds and playing games on their various devices.  The weather seemed to cooperate too because it rained on and off all day.  We woke up to a thunderstorm and went to bed to rain pattering down.
