back to "normal"

I am sitting at my computer and it is quarter to eight.  Harry has been sitting at the table for a half an hour and is still eating his breakfast.  I am patient for a while, but once I've said the same thing three or four times in varying ways, I lose my patience.  My sympathy for my parents' struggle with my poor eating habits as a child has grown.  And still, it is a battle I find I am fighting.  My Mom said that she remembered sitting at the table as a child forced to finish her meal and only then would she get her beloved milk.  I guess it is generational.  Oh well, neither of my children are great eaters, but they seem to be growing and healthy so I am thankful for that.

It is Friday of the first almost full week of school.  Next week isn't a full week either.  Robert napped for the first time in almost a week yesterday.  I hope we can get napping back on the schedule.  I feel like I finally had the chance for some time for myself in the middle of the day, but that was not meant to be.  I am trying to remember how I got things accomplished when Harry wasn't napping, but by then he was in preschool, so there were those times to get things done.  Robert is pretty good, but demands my attention and I start many things, but finishing them in the same time period can be difficult.  Then I have to remember where I was and what still needs to be done.

Okay, I think I must be feeling gripe-y so I am going to sign off and do other things.  Weekend is almost here!  Here are some Robert pictures.  One of him fingerpainting and one of his crazy hair on a windy day at the beach.
