A couple of days ago we drove up to County Donegal to Slieve League. They are beautiful towering cliffs. Not as commercialized as the Cliffs of Moher but also magnificent and somewhat more special since they aren't totally so full of tourists (although there were some).
Here is the view of the road back down the cliffs. It wasn't quite as scary as going up, as we'd done that already, but a bit of a white knuckle ride with tight curves and steep inclines. Still the view was worth it.
Harry begrudgingly posed for a picture on the road up!
Along the way up.
Here they are. See the rocks in the water? They are called the desk and the chair.
Slieve League
The boys on a rock in front of the cliffs. For perspective - see the white streak? That is a boat at the base of the cliffs.
Kevin got this great picture of Robert.
The boys climbed up a bit higher than me. It was a simple rock stairway without rails sort of in the middle of a field. I went up partway, but found it disconcerting and so I let them go further without me and enjoyed a few moments on my own with the breath taking scenery.
