Glenveigh Castle and Park - lots of pretty pictures :-)

The boys posing happily (sorta)

Before the big hike we fortified ourselves with tea, coffee and cakes

Robert currently loves signs that have pictographs to help him read them.  He was fascinated by the line up of trash cans all telling us what should go in which.

The beginning of the trail - nice and flat

A Palm Tree in Northwestern Ireland?

now that is more of what we expect to see

I like this statue

must have been windy

Somebody needed a boost

This "castle" was built in the late 1800s, so it is really more like one of the Newport "summer cottages"

Now for a few scenic pictures from our walk around the castle up to a promontory where we could see the surrounding countryside.

We made to the top - no more posing

Ben Bulben - the mountain close to us in Sligo.  It was particularly pretty as we drove home.
